For the life of me I can not find anything that can tell me exactly what I have here. Verified by the hull serial number, its on an 88 Wellcraft V20 Step Lift (ocean boat) outboard on a bracket and it shows no signs of ever being repowered so I can assume its ~88, and you know what they say about assuming.... humm. Maybe its Older ?!?!? Was told it was a 200 HP. It matches the parts breakdown of an 88 175 or even a 150 pretty well. I need a stator and this model number does me no good in trying to obtain the exact one that I need. Any help is much appreciated.

CO makes it a 1985 model-------A SEADRIVE .------An outboard with a special hydraulic bracket system.--Easy to find the part # if the powerhead is original with the 35 AMP stator.------Where are you looking ?-----Who said it is a 200 HP.--------Look for and ask your friendly dealer for some help !

Nobody important, just the clown I picked the boat up from said it was a 200....

THANKS you guys.,.. now I can move forward with getting new electrical components. I'm just starting to look for these parts now myself as I have random spark issues all of the sudden so I'm thinking of getting new stator and power packs. Got different voltage from both sided of the stator so shes gettin replaced.... Power packs, I'll feel better with new ones going 15+ miles off shore, and they're cheap enough. And timer base seems to tests fine... but what do I really know, I couldn't do for days what you guys did in minutes. LOL

Ah ya.... That's one expensive stator !!! I'm running mix.

Had this thing running about perfect until I got in a little rough seas. I believe a little water got under the cowling due to spray coming from underneath and everything got a little wet under there. She cut out completely, bit of trouble restarting, ran for a few more minutes then quit completely. After redoing all the plugs on the electronics, I got her back but with bad spark.

Being in Daytona and not home where ALL my important tools are, I'm limited on testing. I guess I'll rent a compression gauge. Been wanting to do that from day one. Ill post that info maybe tomorrow if the wife lets me play some.
