Help choosing new prop

Hello, just bought 2000 wellcraft boat 20ft - 8.5 ski boat. Has 17 pitch 15 1/4 prop on it now. RPM trimmed is about 4400 motor is 305 , drive is alpha 1 generation 2. Am going to buy stainless prop and use alum for spare. Not going to use boat for skiing,would not mind some more MPH. Get alot of conflicting info from people. Can i go to 19 pitch and benefit for what use i want MPH . Would greatly appreciate any advise or suggestions on pitch , brand for price etc. Thank you for reply.

Mercury has a prop selector on their website. Try it out.

If the engine will only turn 4400 with a 17P prop what makes you think you will gain speed by going to a 19? More pitch takes more power. The engine is already being lugged or in terrible need of a tune up. Fix that before you spend money on a prop.
