I have a 90 wellcraft 170 classic with a mercruiser 140. I know that there are different types of ignition systems but am not sure which I have. My engine does not actually have a distributor cap. I has a thing that adjusts like a distributor and has a coil giving power to the spark plugs. Is that enough info? which system is this and how to I check and adjust the timing. Thanks so much.
