Help Determining Shaft Length

I just bought a used boat with a 1996 Johnson 112 SPL engine. The Model # is XJ112SLEDR and the Serial # is G04142086.<br /><br />Can anyone tell me what the shaft length is? I can measure if need be, but I'm feeling lazy and woudl also like to lear how to read model and serial number information. Thanks.

Its a long shaft, for a 20" transom
