Help,evinrude iginition switch problems

Help Someone,replaced iginition switch on my boat,it has the Johnson Command Center controls with a 1982 35 HP Evinrude Motor with Model # E35ELCND and now soon as I turn the key to the ON position,Not the Start Position the motor starts to turn over.What have I done? Any help would be appreciated.

The yellow/red stripe wire in the harness is the wire the energizes the starter.
You have that wire somehow connected to the solid purple wire.
Not correct.

On my switch, the terminal labeled "S" is for the yellow/red stripe wire.

Now, that said, that circuit goes thru the control box so that you cannot start it when in gear, so it is not as simple as connecting the yellow/red to the "S" terminal. There should be a pair of yellow/red wires coming from your control.
Wire that correctly.

But the bottom line is, somehow you have the yellow/red connected to the purple.

agree wired wrong, or wrong switch.
