I have a 75' 70HP Johnson that has(had:() the manual trim lever that needs to be replaced after the handle snapped and the bolt for the trim sheered right at the end.

The motor no longer will lock in place and as you can imagine, in reverse the engine starts to lift up out of the water

Can anyone help me locate this part and tell me how to to replace it?

Thanks

Go to:

http://shop2.evinrude.com

Drill down to your model in the list, then look for the part you need in the parts diagrams and parts lists.

It's probably available, and you can order it right on that site. If it's no longer available, contact outboard junkyards like www.tcoutboard.com. They'll have it available.

Thank you CATransplant. I sure do love these forums. I have gotten a great deal of knowledge out of them for all kinds of things from people like yourself. Thank you again!!
