We just picked up a 26' Renken SeaMaster with twin OMC Sea Drives. Got it for a steal because it was listed as not running. After an hour we got both engines running like tops. Other issue we are having is the stearing. The "steering actuator primary" Has a broken rod and although we can make a new rod in the machine shop I will need to locate the seal kit to rebuild it. The model number on the engine is 30APRARF

Any idea where I could source some parts or even a new/ used actuator?

Re: Help finding parts

If the seals are not available through normal sources, and you can manufacture the broken rod, take the old seals to a bearing house. If they have numbers on them, they'll be easy to replace. If not, the bearing house will be able to locate the proper seals based on the outside diameter, inside diameter and type of seal.

One nice thing about american-made stuff is that most things are based on standard dimensions, so things like seals were bought from standard sources...generally from stock items.

OMC was pretty good about using standard stock items from their suppliers for most stuff.
