Hello all,
Trying to go offshore tomorrow and my stbd DF140 (2007) is acting up. I fired up the boat this morning and took it to the ramp to pull out, fill with fuel, and wash the bottom. When i put it back in the water the stbd engine tried to fire and then "nothing."
Symptoms:
Motor wont start
Motor wont tilt (either from throttle switch or engine switch)
When I hit the engine tilt switch i hear a fast rattling sound (not loud)
When i turn the key, it beeps as usual but shows low voltage and beeps on and off
Multimeter at engine shows 13.6 volts
Main 60amp fuse on engine is fine
Fuses I can see are fine (in line from the battery)
Battery switch is fine
Both batteries to that engine show 13+ volts (again, i get power "to" the engine)
I have to believe that there is either a fuse, relay or some connection that is causing this. Thank goodness this engine is under warranty but we were hoping to go out tomorrow and the local suz dealer is closed now.
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. I know the experts will have some ideas
.
Thanks in advance,
Charles
