I have recently rebuilt a sportjet 90Hp engine. New pistons, gasket sets e.t.c.

I also checked the impeller and it is not damaged. The engine is mounted on a donzi 152 medallion. The boat has extreme difficulty coming to plane and when it does it tops at 25mph

What could be wrong?? My mechanic says the engine is working fine. How can I check it?

I've tried to find specs for the engine i.e. revs, compression e.t.c. but no luck.

Does anybody know where I can find these?

Also is there any way I can trim the engine so the boat planes better?

Keep in mind I am writing from Greece and Jet-boats here are no that common. Most mechanics dont have a lot of experience in fixing them!!

Thanks a lot
Lucas
