Help I Fried My Regulator

I recently replaced my stator and was in a hurry and accidently crossed 2 wires. There are 2 yellow wires from the stator that connect to 2 yellow wires to the regualtor. I somehow in a moment of haste connected 1 yellow to yellow and the other to the grey wire of the regulator. I noticed my battery wasn't charging so looked into the wiring and found my mistake. I am not reading any voltage higher than battery voltage now after fixing my mistake. I connected an A/C voltmeter to the stator and only reading 11 volts A/C. Is this normal or have I fried my stator too?

Your battery and charging system are dc voltage. recheck with the volt meter set to dc and see what happens. good luck.

You should have about 22 volts AC (not dc) coming from the stator. The rectifier changes it to dc then the regulator will control it to about 14.5 volts. Disconect the stator wires and check the voltage again.
