Deceased neighbors son is trying to get ride of a boat. Person who was going to tow it away for him never showed up. Typical. He was going to pay to have it hauled off but they never showed. In the mean time, people who came today to replace a very corroded lift fell in love with the scow.
Can only discribe the boat as the state paperwork title just calls it a boat. Is 18 maby 20 ft. Found some old chrome names that could have said CLUB MARATHON. Fiberglass construction with lots of wood. Would be a cabin cruiser, front window in the cabin is the wraparound glass windshield like a 57 CHEVY. Also has the same type glass windshield on top of the cabin. Controls are on the left, steering wheel at a 90 deg. to the floor with a small window looking in to the cabin. Sliding wood door on the right going into the cabin which has a sink on the left and folds away somehow for the head. Ice box and water tank on the right. Was O/B powered with a heavy duty transom bracket. All the hardware looks like they came off an old STUDEBAKER or KAISER.
Pulled it off one lift onto the rebuilt lift and brought out my SAWZALL, was going to start making the thing disappear when the guys who had rebuilt the lift stopped me. Can anyone give me an idea on what it may be? Hate to cut it up when people say they want it but them wanting it and actually floating the thing away are two different things. Also boat is like the james bond movie, russia with love where he kicks the gas drums off the stern and blowes up SPECTOR. I just told the neighbors who are back in VIRGINIA that I would get ride of the boat for them Thanks for your time. FRED

Fred.... we have some great photo instructions here in the top three threads in this section. http://forums.iboats.com/forumdisplay.php?f=32 There are step by step instructions.

Based on what you mentioned in your first post...... I would take a wild geuss of the late 50's or 60's with the ornamental accents.

:)
