Good luck with aaaaaaall that. I'm sure it would be a beautiful boat if you did it right, (check out Mark42's restore), but that's the kind of job that requires a passion for classic lap strake hulls. I don't think it is something that could be rushed through.......just my humble opinion. Does that sweetass classic "Rude" run? It would be awesome if you could keep that on her.

Where is your scense of vision!!!LOL!!

Yea...it's a project...but the hull is in great shape....the decking isn't rocket science.

The engine looks clean...It does turn over with a jumper box....but I need to disconnect those black wires under the fly wheel someone mentioned and see if she will fire!!

It loks like a lot of work, but will be very rewarding in the end. If the hull is good etc you might have a great boat in the end.

Good luck.

I hope more of the OEM hardware is inside the boat. That deck hardware looks unique. Might help ID the boat brand. Hope things are solid for ya.

HOY
I believe what you have is a 1961 Henry Boat built by the Henry
boat company Plain city Ohio. Now known as SkiffCraft. Yes they still build wood boats 26' and 31' mainly. I have 2 a 1961 18' Henry and a 1981 22' extended cabin SkiffCraft. I love them both.
My father gave me the 18' when I was 22. He told me to take care of it and it was mine he bought it brand new at a auction. I just passed it on to my 22 yr old son its still in great shape. It has a 1960 vintage 75HP Evinrude V4 still runs great. It looks like someone has removed the windshield on yours ,its made out of mahogany with windows that raise up. also there is wood trim on the top of the front deck missing too.My sons is complete if you need a pattern. If your taking this on as a project, I will give you all the help I can. It's a classic. alot of people will tell you your nuts trying to restore her, but there are other people out there that would take it so please don't destory her .That motor
looks like a 1960 40 HP Evinrude. It has the same style cover
trim as my 75HP. If you take this on also you can get help and advice from the factory. Go on the web and type SkiffCraft boats and there site will come up. They can make any part for that boat to. They can completly restore her also but it's expensive. If you really like these boats you might want to come to the open house at the factory its the 1st saturday in march.
It's free and you can see how they build them. I go every year,
thats where I found my 22' Skiff.
Well Good luck
If you want to talk about it give me a call
