I have a 1990 Johnson GT200 and I was wanting to get a new (or used) cover and maybe a trim switch but on the breakdown it doesn't seem to match up. It looks more like the twin control but the trim is more like the single control. Its in a Stratos FS 290 if that makes a difference. Heres the picture, and if anyone has one drop me a line.

Re: Help identifying control

It's probably a concealed side mount #173643 or 173644.

You can see the breakdown and parts list at the BRP parts catalog site.

Go to the "parts" picklist where Evinrude is the default and select "OB Axcessories 1990", then navigate to "Remote Control...." and ".......Concealed Side Mount.

THanks a bunch for your help. It turns out that its an 89 model control and I did finally find it. In 90 they changed them.

Re: Help identifying control

Try sea-way.com in Seattle.

Marineengine.com says they have 3 covers in stock.

Boats.net seems to have the lowest price on the switch.

I find a lot of what OMC did a little strange, but I don't think we can do much about a company that went bankrupt and has been out of business for ten years. I am grateful that BRP has been willing to provide what information they have in the public domain - OMC never did.
