Not a 150.----Could be a GT 175 from late 1980's or an earlier 235 HP based on the " bubble exhaust " cover.

Tis a Big bore 3.625 175 from 1987-91. Looks to have been submerged at one time which wil cause internal damage. Not the best motor as sleeves are thin and if overheated in its life will damage cylinders. It appears someone has applied oil to cylinder due to wetness on water jacket.

Just acquired the motor and was going to do compression Check. The motor has been in storage for there years so I thought a guy should apply some oil to the cylinders. Are these the high or low compression engines? Thanks.

We do not know if a " low compression " kit was installed.------But these motors have a history of broken rings.----Post your compression values.
