Help Installing Prop

I'm installing a Rev 4 prop on 2007 E-Tec 200hp satwater model. I'm using a flo-torque II adapter. No matter what I do (config parts supplied with flo-torque II prop wobbels (by hand movement) at the end next to the thrust washer. It appears that the splined shaft on the motors lower unit extends about 1/4" beyond the flo-torque II splined hub so even if you tighten the prop nut, prop still wobbles. It seems like there should be a bushing in the plastic sleeve at the end next to the thrust washer.

SURE COULD USE SOME HELP OR INFO.

Thanks.

Re: Help Installing Prop

There is one available. It's cone-shaped with ridges that roughly match the ridges inside the hub. But the thrust washer usually takes-up the slop you're describing.

Re: Help Installing Prop

The thrust washer might take up the slop however since the lower units (motor) splined shaft extends slightly beyond the end of the flo-torques splined hub insert, you can tighten the prop nut to whatever ft/lbs you want it still does not seat against the splined hub insert of the flo-torque.

What hub kit was supplied? If for some chance they sent you the wrong kit, it would explain why you are having problems.

Just checking - you are putting the thrust washer on before the prop, right??
