Help me, How to remove old grease?

Somebody help me.
I need to take the mass (grease I think that is how the term itself) of the maneuver came (STEERING ARM) from Mercury 90hp 2strokes.
Note: Inject new weight and direction is still heavy. Have also pulled the power steering motor and the steering is light, which leads me to think that is the shaft.
How can I solve this case? How do I grease without dismantling the engine?
Sorry for my bad English, I'm Portuguese.
