I have been working on cleaning and fixing up an old outboard trolling motor which I have acquired. However I have not been able to identify it due to a lack of markings.I have put up pictures on this page for people who think they might be able to help----http://www.angelfire.com/in4/outboard/index.html

The ignition system is made by RE Phelon co. long meadows mass. or so it says on top of the flywheel. The coil assembly has (model 5710) printed on it.The carb also has a name on the float bowl bottom wwhich is (Walbro U.S.A.) the number (107) is stamped on the carb too. There are some numbers on the power head and shaft housing which you can see in the pics.It is a one cylinder trolling motor. It is air cooled with underwater exhaust.I have been looking about but still have no idea what it is so all help is greatly appreciated.I can take pictures of any other part you wish to see and email them or transfer them to you via yahoo messenger.

thanks guys

Re: Help me identify "mystery motor"

Looks like a 1954 Corsair. They were mass produced units to appeal to small water fisherman and duck hunters. It is a 3.5 hp. Parts are almost impossible to find. Good luck

I'm going to move this to Other outboards. Better chance that someone will recognize it there.
