help me ,to much smoke

hello people .<br /><br />i have a 70hp evinrude (from 1994 i think)<br />has been running well but now wen i start the engine and even after all along the day the engine puts a LOT of smoke not from the propeller itself but from the 2 holes near the power head and above the water .<br /><br />hellllpppp meeeeee.<br /><br />thanks you all.

Smoke or steam? Check the oil injection lately? Linkages attached and working ok?

The only advice i have is to premix your gas/oil outside of the boat to ensure proper mixture. might be burning too much oil? good luck

too much smoke:<br /><br />my 70hp evinrude is an autolub and i only use tcw3 shell oil, i think it is a good oil and is recomended, but i also think my problem is the mix done by the engine that burns too much oil.<br /><br />can anyone help me .<br /><br />thanks

You need to get a manual for the motor if you want to adjust this yourself........

To much oil smoke from the VRO system is due to an airleak in the fuel side of the system. Check all connections including o-rings in the fuel tank connections and engine connections.
