i have a 1969 6hp fisherman just had it re done got it out of the shop it popped out of gear and now stuck in reverse and acting like the shaft is striped wont come out of gear any solutions?

Out of shop -not working -back to shop!!!
I guess time to take down the gearcase.

done deal took it out todAY runs like new!!!! thx for the info does 26-1 ratio sound right for that motor??

It is supposed to be 50:1 mix.
