Help! mod-vee hull

I'm new to the board so bare with me as i post my questions, First I want to make sure I'm taking about the correct type of hull, vee hull at the bow turning into flat bottomed at the stern, is this correct? The second thing is I'm in the middle of replacing the floor and stringers (this forum has been a huge help)I have removed the back 2/3rds of floor and stringers and when i got out of the boat today i noticed that the hull(floor) was flexing. What should i do about this when i comes time to put in the new stringers?My boat is a 18 foot fiberglass runabout I'm not sure the year or make but it is an older boat late 60's early 70's maybe?

18footer,<br /><br />The amount of "V" at the stern is known as: "deadrise". If it's flat at the sern, it's a "modified" V.<br /><br />Do a search on this board using the word-"Stringer". There have been plenty of discussion on the replacement topic.

My big concern is with the hull (floor) flexing, should I jack the boat off the trailer and let the hull sag when i measure for the new stringers or leave the boat on the trailer? It looks like it's flexing side to side not length wise.

Let me make it a little clearer the hull(floor)was fexing up and down..

18footer,<br /><br />The trailer is fine, AS LONG AS, you know that the trailer bunks are supporting the hull evenly. <br /><br />Take some time and make some careful measurements, floor up, on a level surface.
