Hello, Just registered and I’m here for advice on a problem with my 2008 Tracker Tahoe Q5I with a 4.3 litre carb. It all started last summer I’d say when there was some sluggish response when I got on the throttle. After winterized and getting back on the water this spring, the lack of response has turned into an issue I cannot track down... yet. Currently, I put the key in the on position, I do not hear the fuel pump run. I have checked the oil pressure switch, I removed and hard wired and confirmed it’s functioning properly, to my knowledge. I removed the fuel pump itself, thinking this is my issue, it turns on, great suction and no trash in pump. I checked the fuse, located on top of the motor, I read it’s supposed to “click” when switch is put in “on” position. Removed it, hard wired to battery, tested and it “clicked” while removed. After all this, I put the components all back together and I get no click when turned on, fuel pump will not come on, oil pressure is fine and again the switch itself seems to be functioning. So I need help because I can’t find a post anywhere that can assist. Thanks in advance

Ayuh,..... That's usually a lack of fuel, probably the carb,..... Which carb is on it,.....

The fuel pump only pumps with the starter crankin', or after it starts, 'n there's oil pressure,.....

The big breaker won't click, if it ain't tripped,....

I tested the carb, I took the filter off, opened the choke and pressed the throttle and had two solid streams of fuel inside the two barrels

Sluggish response leads me to; ignition tune up and possibly carb rebuild.

What your test confirmed is simply that the accelerator pump is working.
