I bought a fuel pump rebuild kit from Iboats but the Diagram is unreadable.

I have two springs to place and cant figure out where one of them goes.
Here's what I have, can you help?

You can see the large spring at the left end from part #3 and #4.
But there is a smaller spring which I cannot find a place for.

I tried High. I'll have to get it printed out.
That small spring don't seem to have a "Home" for either end of it.
I'll get back to you as soon as I get that printed out where I can study it.

Your right about the PITA part! :)

Unless you're a OMC trained tech, you may have to try it several times. Yes that is a PITA, but the test of "Blow through the inlet and not through the exit" you can try try try.. on the kitchen table. If you didn't memorize how those pieces came apart, you're right - just have to study and try. Those knobs on the edge of castings help line up.

Here I am after mid-nite. Still don't have it.
Those pictures are not clear enough.
I wonder if there are better photos, or another site with better photos.

I used Vaseline to hold that little spring and pressure pad together. That's worked in the past.

I may be getting too old for simple things like this.
