I am in the process of replacing my stator and powerpack on my 92 60HP Johnson Tracker. I noticed there was instructions with the stator that tells about relocating the telltale to the top of the cooling jacket. This boat just came from the dealer here a year ago and was not caught then. After reasearching here for any further service bulletins that may have been missed, I came across a few that I want to make sure have been done.
The first is SB 2271 jet and timing kits
How can I check to see if this has been done?
The other is SB 2225 thermostat seat new seat pn 336416. I don't see a number on mine.
The other bulletins about the springs have been done, but the temp sender is still the older tan wire type.
Any info is greatly appreciated. You guys are my only hope because the local dealers here don't really seem interested in helping me with this motor.

don't fix it if it isn't broke.your motor is so old it is hard to check serial # if the timimg & jets were done to it.if it isn't running hot you will not have to move teltail location..

Re: Help on service bulletin info

Moving the telltail fitting allows an escape route for any air bubbles trapped in the cooling passages. We would actually prefer to move it to the top of the block rather than just to the top of the water passage around the exhaust.

Checking the timing and jets is very simple. Simply look at the jets and look at the timing with a timing light. Actually we've found that while these changes are important, we've corrected repeat failures by richining up the mid range jets. Especially on the center carb.
