Help on setting for new Tach Gauge for a Merc 150

I am replacing my tach gauge on a 1995 Mercury 150hp Black Max. I bought a Teleflex premire gauge, it has dial to be set for your perticular motor, the instructions say to "set to 1/2 number of alternator poles".

Can anyone tell me how many alternator poles my engine has?
