seloc manual for 110/120/140 HP, 2.5/3L shows 90 to 100 FT. LBS for head. and for the valve cover, 55 INCH LBS. = to ~5 FT LBS.

no, no god. but how many times have you heard this "i did stay at a holiday inn last night!" the manual also gives the procedure. tighten from the center outward alternating from side to side. tighten 1/3 of torque value first, 2/3 second time around, and full amount last time. and i did find this; for mercury marine engine go to 130 ft lbs, and for gmc go to 100 ft lbs. good luck fishing, been to the keys, great place.

BKOben, You should recheck the torque of the head bolts after you run it. I did the same job on my 3.0l and after a couple of hours of running, my torque went from spec. down to 60 ft/lbs.
