Ok heres the deal...Motor starts up fine idles fine and sounds fine. When i go to about 1/4th to 1/2 throttle it bogs out.Ill cruise it at the highest speed i can before it starts to bog down and then i reach back and squeeze the primer bulb real hard and hold it it will gradually start to take off and run fine.If i keep it running 1/2 throttle or more it does fine after that. If i stop and fish or go through a no-wake zone i have to do it all over again and hold the bulb till it will take off.

Stuff i have done and replaced and it has made no change to the way it runs.
-Rebuilt fuel pump
-Replaced primer bulb and lines
-replaced old filler hose that was all cracked.THe other hoses going from the -tank to the autoblend look fairly new
-Fuel Filter
-New plugs, did same thing with old ones
-tryed different gas and seafoam with nothing making any difference.

This is on a Ranger 335v and i really love the boat, its my first but i cant afford to take it to a mechanic.I dont know of any boat mechanics and i dont wanna get ripped off when they dont fix it. ANy help would be greatly appriciated THanks

You missed the accelerator pump and injectors. Don't worry, I did too until I realized I had them. Your pumping of the primer bulb is over pressurizing the carbs and acting much like the accelerator pump. Locate the hidden filter that's behind the oil tank and change it first.

I just took the autoblend off and took the cover off the front. There is a filter looking thing(part#16 on the link below) on it that the tank gas line hooks to.Is that what you are talkin about?.I took the hose off but the filter looking thing has 2 screws in the top and it looks like it enters the oil tank on the bottom.I cant get it to pop off and i dont wanna break it.
I looked it up on this site and u cant order anything for it besides the cap and i dont see anything on it thats called the injectors or accelerator pump.

Your's has neither injectors or accelerator pump like on the later models so disregard my last post. The item you are looking at on the auto blend is a filter and is listed as fuel but I'm not familiar with it.

It sounds like you are just a little lean on your mixture, all 3 carbs. When you squeeze the ball you overcome the needle and seat and fuel spills into the carb(s) fixing the problem. Back each idle mixture screw on the carb out 1/4 turn (CCW) and see if that makes a difference. Common problem on the inline 6, bogging or stalling under load.

I would inspect the antisiphon valve in the fuel tank, before I messed with the carbs. They can get clogged up with stuff and restrict fuel flow.

The idle mixture screws on your carbs have no effect above idle.

Re: Help Please!! 1986 Mercury 115hp inline

I am having similar problems. History ran last weekend like a top, skying pulled skiers up no problem this weekend took it out and when I pushed hard on the throttle it bogged and stalled tried it several times and bogged down most times but a couple times it did acelerated ok, but just ok, but mostly not. Adjusted the idle no change. The primer bulb remained firm. Last note had problems with Fuel guage and looked under the dash found the temp guage disconnected and bad fuse holder on the fuel guage connected temp guage and replaced fuse holder for the fuel guage. Both seem to be working fine. Could the guages effect the performance? Current draw or shorting? But why sporatic? Lastly I have disconnected my tilt kill switch, it seeems I have a bad switch, waiting untill I can get the $450 bucks to replace it. For time being I have the wire out of the switch taped off and I am careful not to tilt engine while running. Any thoughts??
