I have completely shredded my wheel bearings on my ranger trail trailer. I am going to have to replace the entire axle. Can anyone answer the following:
1. What is the weight limit for the axle that I replace it with?

2. What are the specs for the Ranger Trail for the 1983 - 373V Ranger Bassmaster Classic?

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Re: Help please

Unfortunately no. It has ripped it up and actually fused them to the axle from the heat.

Re: Help please

See what size the original bearings are... replace with like size or larger. Typically a single axle trailer has 3500 lb axle. But check the bearings to be sure....

Re: Help please

abctrailerparts.com has really good prices.

I can't imagine that boat would be near 3500 pounds, but I would get that axle because it's like 20 bucks more than the 2000 # one.

Re: Help please

I am really sorry to hear it Coach a fryed hub plain sucks, thats one of those things that boat owners dread and obsess about. If you take good mesurments and depending on it fits a single or double axle, You should be able to find a replacment local or on line. my personal pick is axle hub system known as a safety lub set up, it allows a complet hub grease repack/flush with out taking the hub apart. Altho thier is many ways to do it. Being as your going to replace it I would look into a better way to maintain your hubs. hope it helps.
