ok i have a 2000 40 horse 4 stroke. i have installed a new impeller in the foot. when i have it running with it on the trailer. it does not push water with the muffs on the foot. however it has the clean out port that you can hook the hose to then it pushed water with out it running. will this motor not pull water from the muffs. or is there another problem with them impeller in the foot. thanks my iboats family

I expect its not pumping from the foot...there is a "T" near where the hose hook up is and that is why the water is showing up from the clean out. You need to check the "muffs" and / or submerge the foot to check for pumping. You may have messed up the install??
