Help !!! speedometer broken

Hoping you can help again.We need to know what the back view is of an instrument cluster looks like.Speedometer just quit working.Lots of salt water here.It's a 86 Seasprite bowrider 170hp Mercrusier engine 3.7L I think.Trying to get her running right now.What a pain too hot to work on it here.Just sure would come in handy.<br /> Thanks Again<br /> Jersey Girl

The quickest way to see what the back side of an instrument cluster looks like is to look at it. You'll need to do that anyway to see whats wrong. Speedometers are generally pitot driven (no electronics) except for the light. The pickup is at the back of the boat. A small tube feeds pressure to the back of the gauge. Chances are the pitot pickup is blocked. Pull the tube off the back of the head. Apply pressure to the hose. Reconnect and go.
