HELP STEERING

Is there a diagram or website that I can read on how to rewind the steering on a boat,,,,the cable came off the shaft behind the steering wheel in the dash.

Wind it from the middle out each way but test you have it right before you go on the water I put one on backwards once and it turned the wrong way eh!! Try this site not what you want but shows how to measure the cables<br /> http://www.boatus.com/boattech/steering.htm
