I just converted my outboard from jet pump to prop and need some advice on a second prop because I am very likley to ding up a couple before I learn NOT to drive it like a jet.

#1. Yamaha F225
#2. Current prop is Yamaha Saltwater series 15 1/4 x 19
#3. current speed is 56 MPH @ 6000 RPM
#4. 22' - 14 degree welded aluminum hull
#5. No jackplate
#6. No tabs or foils
#7. Looking for respectable top end & ability to handle heavily loaded boat. Tis boat is used mostly in costal bays / lakes and offshore sometimes.

I am very happy with the current prop and because I paid almost $700 for the prop, I want to get an "inexpensive" aluminum (or SS)second prop to use when I am running in areas where I am more prone to hitting things :)

Yamaha lists a 13 3/4 x 21 Aluminum prop, and I am thinking this might fit my needs.

Any advice for the second prop idea?

Thanks!
Snow-Dog
