That would be the amount of pressure read on a compression gauge, taken by turning the engine over at WOT at least 5 times. Ignition disabled.

What is the range? under 100 is not good. On a new engine you would probably see pressures in the range of 110 to 130 depending on the engine. An older engine in great shape would probably have higher numbers then a newer one, because gas was better back then and higher compression ratios were more common.

The important thing is that they are very close. the lowest should be within 10% or less of the highest.
