Help with 1988 90 hp evinrude tilt trim

I'm posting this for a friend I have not seen the motor but he says the trim motor is bad. I was wondering if it is possible to remove the trim motor with the engine mounted on the boat are the three nuts accessible? Does anyone know the part # off hand any help on replacing this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

There are two bolts on each side holding the TNT unit in place and a pivot rod. Take the bolts out, remove the upper tilt rod pin and the unit should pivot out for access to the motor. The engine will have to be supported in the full up position while doing this.<br /><br />Is your friend sure the motor is bad? See if you can get some info and post it here.
