I just had my carb rebuilt and it will start fine. After about 30 seconds it will die if I don't rev it up. The mechanic re-checked his work and said it it good. I have a clean fuel filter and always use fuel stabilizer over the winter. I have a new fuel pump but it looks like changing it is going to be incredibly hard. The motor mount is right behind the fuel filter and somehow has to be removed(!!) to get to part changed. I'm hoping someone here will have a nice easy solution, please! Thanks. Kevin

Ayuh,... Welcome Aboard,...
Welcome to the Wonderful World of Wrenchin' on boats...

Ya gotta remove whatever parts of the Boat that are in yer way of gettin' to the Motor...
Then ya remove Whatever pieces of the motor that are in yer way of gettin' to the parts yer Replacin'...
Replace the part, 'n then it's Usually a reverse of replacin' Whatever Stuff ya hada move...

Many times it's just Easier to Yank the whole darn motor to get at, whatever needs gettin' at...

Btw,... If yer Toolbox consists of a crescent wrench, a set of vicegrips, 'n a screwdriver,..??
Yer probably in Waaayyyy over yer head....;)

Well do you think it's actually the fuel pump? Being this is going to be no simple task, I'd like to think it's going to fix my problem before I go through with it. I am also wondering if the rebuild might be the problem. I've found a company that will rebuild my card and send it back. I would love for that to be the real problem, it's a whole lot easier to swap a carb than the fuel pump.
