Help with 25 hp mercury and control box

HI, and thanks in advance for any help u can projide me with. I have recently purchased the console for me 17 mirror craft. I also got all the cables and stuff for the control box. I have a 2001 mercury 25 hp, and the control box is made by quick silver. The problem I have is after I got the shift cable hooked up fine, I proceeded to hook up the throttle cable and ran into this problem. The throttle needs to be pulled towards the front of the boat to work properly, but the control box at full throttle pushes the cable towards the rear of the boat resulting in the motor being idle when the control is full forward and motor being full throttle when the control is in neutral. I took the control box abart and can not find a way to reverse this. Maybe there is something that I am missing and am just looking 2 hard to see it. Thanks again for any help u can provide me with.
