Help with 3.6 hp Mercury year of manufacture

Any help here would be appreciated regarding the year of manufacture of this motor. Here's the particulars:<br /><br />3.6 HP Mercury<br />Serial Num: 5834508<br />The cowling is plastic and has the blue stripe<br /><br />Thanks,<br />Razz

1980/1981 model. They were the same motor for both years.

Thanks Nate. I'm going to have to get a spark plug for it. It looks like the original is in. Rust ..., etc. I hope I can break it loose.<br /><br />Razz
