Greetings
I'm having starting issues with my 1972 standard ignition 888. Carb rebuilt and plugs last fall. Ran well this spring. We're restoring the boat so took the gauges out last month and have booked them back up for the most part which may be the problem? Anyway the engine will only start in near full throttle and once it does will die off in a second. Wants to run bad but can't keep going. We have spark and gas at the carb. Can't figur this out. We did put in a new fuel pump gasket and separator filter. The fuel line petcock is open. Please help me out fellas. Thanks Chris

Also pull your filter and drain/shake the content out in something so you can see as Eric mentioned what's there other then gas. Also smell it, it should smell like gas and nothing else
