Alright now that ive solved my first problem i have another one. My jonboat has a small hole in the side of it and i would like to repair it. While reading on the internet i have read about a green stick that u use wsuth a torch, I know Cabela's makes a aluminum boat patch kit that is VERY similar to this but I am being impatient and have time to work on the boat today. Does anybody know of something like this? I live in Virginia Beach so I have plenty of boat shops to try!!!!

If it's small then I'd hammer it shut as best I could and then use JB Weld on it.

Ditto. They even make marine grade epoxy sticks that are available at lots of auto/tool stores. you can also clean up the hole and run an appropriately sized stainless steel bolt through it with a washer on either side and coated with a bit of 3m 5200 marine caulk to keep it water tight. It's not the most cosmetically pleasing solution, but it only costs about $5 and takes about 2 min.

I've used JB Weld and it has held for years.

How big is small?

If it's 1/4" or less I'd say go with JB weld or a marine epoxy fix. If it's bigger you may want to take it to a welder.
