I've gotten a renewed interest in getting my boat project closer to being a reality. I have gotten the engine ready to do the cam break in and I am trying to adapt the wiring. Whoever swapped the original v6 for the v8 used the v6 harness. Anyway, I have been trying to get it to work as best I can. Starter wires are good, the coil wires appear to be ok, alternator - check, coolant temp sensor wire looks good. The 2- 50 amp breaker buttons will have to mount on a custom bracket a little farther forward of the manifold riser which should be ok. But there is a 6 amp or possibly 9 amp breaker that is also in the harness with a bracket. Not sure where it would have mounted on the v6 engine. Does anyone know if it is needed and what it powers? And what should I do with it? Where would it normally mount on a v6? Attached is a pic. the boat is a 1998 Four Winns Horizon and the engine is a 1988 5.7 mercruiser. thanks!

The breaker box mounts using riser bolts and the L shaped mounts on head....
