Hello there,
As I'm currently putting in another (second) steering station on my boat, I'm gonna need additional controls for my trim tabs as well. The trim tabs I have are electric/hydraulic ones and they are very old (early 80s) but work well. The make of the trim tabs are Trim master (which apparently are no longer in business).
What I need help with:
-Can I get just any switch panel on the market (designed for electric/hydraulic tabs) or does it have to be a specific switch depending on my specific model of trim tabs (are the switch panels plain switches or is there other functionality built in them)?
-How do I split the wiring in the best way in order to get the second panel to work?
If someone has an understandable resource that explains how trim tabs work in general (the different components) I'd be very happy about receiving this info. as well. I'm fairly handy and have done a lot of installations/building before so I'll probably figure this out by trial-and-error but I thought it'd be easier to get your input first.
Thanks a bunch,
