help with engine controls

Hi ive got a mariner 4 cylinder 50hp outboard made in 1982.I need a new ignition switch for my quicksilver controls or a new set of controls can anyone please give a link to the right parts please as iam new to boating and need to be sure what iam purchasing.Many many thanks in advance steve.

The ignition switch is generic - choke or no choke would be the only option.
Should be less than $20.

There is a very significant difference in ignition switches (choke/no choke being just one of them). For an I/O (auto style engine) for example the ignition contacts must be closed to energize the ignition system and open to kill the engine. Outboards have magneto ignitions so that same set of contacts must be OPEN for the engine to run and CLOSED to kill the engine which is exactly opposite that on an I/O. Make sure you get the correct switch. There may be some dual purpose units out there so one of those would work also but you need to watch connections very carefully.
