Help with finding hoses to a 1972 120 mercruiser with a closed cooling system

Hi all,
I need help finding a hose. I need the hose that comes off the water pump and goes to the heat exchanger. It has no numbers and i have been told there are very few 120 mercruisers with closed cooling systems. I will try to post some pictures of the motor for your reference. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!!!

Hi there, Finding a Mercuiser part number for that hose will be difficult to find online or even at a Mercruiser dealer.

The only OEM information available for the closed cooling kit is going to be the actual part number of the closed cooling kit which is 61086A2. But unfortunately running that "kit" part number yields no other information of a parts break down list to cross reference for the water hoses.

The only info that comes up would be a different mounting kit for the power steering system.MERCRUISER Engine Parts 120 GM 153 I POWER STEERING MOUNTING, With Closed Cooling Kit Parts

About the only thing I'd know to suggest would be to remove the hose and walk it into a NAPA auto parts store to see if they're willing to try and look something up in their parts book to match it up against. Or since the link above claims to have one kit in stock. Call them to see if they have a parts list with part numbers in the box.:fish2:

Its funny, i just tryed that hose and it will not work. Im going to try the marina near me next. Its realy an odd size. Thanks for all the replys!!!

One possibility is locating an auto parts store that has a helpful employee and a lot of pre-made radiator hoses. With luck, you may find one that fits or may find that a portion of a larger one has the right bends.
