Hello,
I just installed a fuel water separator on a 1984 2.5 l omc stern drive engine and I can not get it to fire up. I filled the canister with fuel. I'm questioning if I have it installed wrong. I have the hose from the gas tank going to the input of the separator then the output of the separator to the input of the external fuel pump on the side of the engine. Then the original metal line from the output of the fuel pump to the carb. My question is because I have that external fuel pump should the separator be installed between the output of the fuel pump and the carb?
Thanks
