Hi all just got a philips AP navigator GPS system ( EARLY PORTABLES MODEL ) it sits in a docking cradle. Have no mannel for it. It has 5 wires comeing from the docking cradle all in one sleeve. red, black, white, green, brown. The antenna has 3 wires brown, green, white. Am i right in thinking that the red and black are for the power and the rest for the antenna. It may sound silly to ask but i want to get it right. Thanks for any help. SEAN

Re: help with installing early GPS system

Rather than install your own global positioning satellite system, I recommend you use the U.S. government's NAVSTAR GPS. This should save you several hundred billion dollars. With the savings you can buy a nice GPS receiver that includes a technical manual with explanation of the wiring color codes used in the electrical cables.
