I love the schematics that are frequently posted with all the replys but alot of the parts, mostly seals in my case, are obsolete. Anybody know where we can find parts/seals these days?

Re: Help with parts

Make model and hp would help.

Some parts are nla from the manufacturer, but are available from aftermarket suppliers.

Some parts are still manufacturer only because of low demand.

And some are just NLA.

also depends where you live. i live out on the west coast, and have found parts.
iboat, craigslist, ebay, and franz marine. locally i use m&m marine, a shop about 60 miles north. i bought two coils and a tune up kit for less than 200 delivered from m & m marine, for my 86 50hp.
good luck

Re: Help with parts

The dirty little secret is that with most seals and bearings, anything used in a Force engine is standard and can be purchased from a local bearing supply house. Just keep the old one so they can match it. Sometimes the match will appear slightly different but it will do the same job.

That said, there are some parts that simply have been discontinued by the maker and you will have trouble finding them anywhere.
