the first 1 in 10126 should indicate a 71,81,91
but the 2502 and the F do not look correct check them again to make sure.
If the F is correct maybe it is a 79 model
where is this motor?or where did it come from?

99yam40 I will look again at the numbers & make sure they are correct, The motor is in Kodiak Alaska, I bought it from a local salmon fisherman who said it was his fathers & at one time he had 5 of them just like this one, He gave me a box of extra NOS parts & props etc. He stated this one at one time he believed did have electric start but that was taken off years ago, I tend to agree as it is set up with a rectifier & wiring. The motor is in VG+++ condition runs very well and has 158 compression in both cylinders, I will post a cpl photos of it and the numbers tonight. thanks' Kodi

You are posting a link to your photobook account not a specific pix.

Copy and paste the IMG code for the pix you want to post:

Jbcurt00 if you check my past post you will see I have posted many photos over the last few years, all without any problems, but of late I am unable to use option #1, Which is what I always did in the past, Now I get a pop up that says an "Error has occurred" after I hit upload? My computer?? Iboats?? anyway It appears I'm not the only one who doesn't know how to cipher older Suzuki #s So not to worry this pig is cooked. 99yam40 thanks for given her a shot' kodi

I suspect the pix are too large and nees to be reduced, resized to fit the new software's perimeters.

This size restriction is mentioned in the pix help link I posted, 700KB, which is small given that even my cell phone will take 5MB pix.

Iboats didnt set the size restriction, the forum software did. When it was updated 18+mo ago from vB 4.xxx to vB5.xxx.xx several other changes occured as well.

Photobucket seems to be working, so I'd suggest sticking w that method for pix

Can I ask how you got the year? I think I have a starter motor (Hitachi) that will fit it, but will need new brushes but if the same motor is available on other year Suzukies I might be able to change out the case/gear head. & E-bay has much used as well. thanks\ Kodi

79 was the only year the serial # started with a 1 without it being 71,81,91 year and it had the F
But the 2502 does not match up
