I've done some research for hours now, haven't come across my problem though. And i don't have a computer so bare with me.
So I just bought a '88 22' bayliner with a 125 force. The tilt isnt working at all. Thought it may have been electrical problem. So I brought it home, tear **** apart, deck is rotten In places, fuel tank needs to be drained and cleaned, and try to figure out the tilt. I pull the cap off the motor maybe? It's right where the the wires come into the first cylinder. There was no oil when I pulled the cap off, but 2 spring loaded blocks that squeeze against a shaft, which is also soldered to wires. One of the blocks were gone and just a wire.
So what's my next approach? Can I just buy a cap already wired? Where do I find it and how do I know it's the correct one? I am mechanically inclined just not on boats.
