Well I bought a 1993 Tracker Magnum Today. It has a 60hp Evenrude that is toast. I have a 2000 tracker Mercury that I want to put on it. I plan on switching the motors out myself. I am fairly confident that I can do this. The problem I am going to have is the wiring. I have two problems that I need some help with. The first, is that I am going to switch my controllers out with the motors. The Mercury has the switch on the controller versus the Evenrude's switch being on the dash of the boat. What is the best way to by- pass the switch on the dash and still have all of my insturments working. The second problem is, the Tracker has a three tilt and trim switches, one on the motor, one on the controller, and one on the front of the boat. Is there a harness that a person can buy to hook this up to the Mercury motor? Thanks for the help! s40boy

Re: Help With Wiring.

www.brokeboats.com will give you color codes for wiring though probably no schematics.Wire harness should be available from Merc.<br />Most reccomend a new harness when rewiring.
