Help with year please

50 hp 2 stroke 4 cylinder and if I am looking at the right plate the serial number is 6148789. I can find nothing to tell me what year it is.

I was an idiot and burnt up the choke plastic linkage. I was told the linkage may no longer be available.

It looks like yours is a 1982. Check out this link here. Its all the way towards the bottom of the page.

www.crowleymarine.com has a good bit of information and you can get parts from there. Or you can find the part number there and search here on iboats. That way you support the forums.

try boats.net. I wouldn't order from them but you can at least pull the part number. Just look through that list and find what type of motor you have and you should be able to find the part.

Boat tech thank you!! the CHOKE ROD ASSEMBLY is no longer available on every site but the part number worked on ebay. I just ordered it. I now need to find the plastic arm on the carb thats held in place by a roll pin. I doubt its available so I may have to make it myself.
