Hi all,
I have a 1998 Chaparral 1830 SS 4.3 Merc w/ alpha one
Yesterday I was enjoying a nice river ride on the Northeast Cape Fear for the 4th, Crusing along at about 18-22mph We slid up on a sand bar... it wasnt a quick jerky stop but it was abrupt, not hard enough to really move anyone out of their seat...
I immedately raised the leg and killed the motor, we were able to get the boat back off hte bar and keep going, nothing physically is damaged other than the black prop now looks a bit silver on the edges...
PROBLEM: my trim will not go all the way down now, as i was lowering the leg I noticed it stopped a little earlier, my trim guage has been broken for about 3 weeks now.... and i cna' ttell exactly how far it is, it goes most of the way down but not all the way... any suggestions!?!?
